Dear Colleagues, Students, and Partners, It gives me immense pride to address you as the President of the Centre for Education, Research and Development (CERD). Our collective mission is to nurture excellence in education, foster innovation in research, and drive meaningful development across our group of institutions and beyond.
Our journey began 23 years ago with a simple yet profound vision of spreading the light of education to the rural and remote parts of Bengal, where opportunities were scarce but aspirations were boundless. What started as a modest initiative has grown into a vibrant network of institutions dedicated to empowering communities through knowledge, skills, and values.
At CERD, we believe that education is not merely the transfer of knowledge but the cultivation of critical thinking, creativity, and ethical responsibility. Research, in our view, is the engine of progress - fuelling discoveries that shape industries, communities, and the future of humanity. Development, therefore, is the natural outcome of these efforts, ensuring that our institutions remain vibrant contributors to society.
We also encourage the research aspirants, both local and beyond to join our journey, and we stand ready to support them in their research work with guidance, resources, and collaboration.
As we look ahead, our vision seems very clear: to transform our institutions into hubs of knowledge and innovation that inspire generations.
